Christmas Eve Santa's Sleigh Ride Manicure using Danglefoot Nail Polish Higitus Figitus (2)

Hello again my lovely readers well we are officially in the single digit countdown to Christmas, I for one am hugely excited. I used to love Christmas when I wasn't a mum and now that I am its even more magical, I can't wait to see the mischief Lexi gets into when there is a big pile of wrapping paper to jump into and to see her face light up trying her first ever Christmas dinner. As she is only one I don't think she will be into the whole Santa thing yet but that doesn't mean I can't have him dancing across my nails.

So without further ado I would like to share with you lovely people my latest manicure for the festive season. As the base for this mani I used the beautiful Danglefoot nail polishes Higitus Figitus, this is the new version of this particular polish. It is a gorgeous deep black holographic polish it is fully opaque in two easy to apply coats and has an excellent formula. This polish is great to use to set the scene for some night time nail art. Hayley has this for sale in her shop right now for £6.50 for a 12ml bottle, I will leave a link so you can pick up this awesome Danglefoot nail polish yourself. I really wish I could have got a better picture of this but unfortunately there has been a serious lack of sunlight the last couple of days, hopefully I can show this off in all its full holographic glory in the summer.

So once I had top coated my beautiful base colour I needed to decide which stamping plate I was going to use to create my Santa's night time sleigh ride. If you read my previous post you would have noticed that there is a Santa sleigh image on the Ejiubas Christmas plate, but this image was just a tad too big for my nails. So luckily I had recently purchased some new Festive Moyou London Christmas plates, the plate I used was number 30 which is one of their newer plates. I will have a full swatch and review of both Christmas plates I purchased up soon.
I used my Moyou London rectangular squishy stamper and my Born Pretty store silver stamping polish to pick up the image. So that it looked like Santa was literally flying across all of my nails I broke the stamping image up into five sections. On my thumb was the image of the presents, then on my index nail I stamped Santa in his sleigh. On the rest of my nails I stamped each of the reindeer trying to get them to look like they were diving onto a nearby rooftop to deliver the presents to the sleeping children.
Because I thought that the mani looked a bit bare with just Santa and his reindeer I decided to make it a very snowy Christmas eve. To make my snow drops I used my smallest dotting tool and because no snowflake is alike I made them different sizes. For the snow I used my white Born Pretty stamping polish as this is more opaque than a normal nail polish and I wanted my snow to stand out over the black. When this design is in the light the linear holographic makes it look even more magical and once I added my HK Girl top coat it gave it that gorgeous shine I was looking for a sealed in my design.

I hope you liked my latest Christmas manicure, with only 9 days left until Christmas I am going to try and fit in as many festive manicures as humanly possible. I would love to know if you have any ideas of what I could try and do in time for Christmas, please feel free to leave suggestions in the comments section below.

As always I hope you are all having a great nail day and chat to you all very soon, I may even have some mischievous Christmas minions to join me next time...

  2. The word Christmas reminds me of one unpleasant situation. On this holiday I always make presents to my friends and family, but this time I almost broke the tradition, because I lost my job. But I was not discouraged and started looking for a resume editor service and found ResumesUniverse.com , they are the best of their kind
