September Meebox Pumpkin Spice- Swatch & Review

Hello, my lovely readers, I hope you all had a great weekend. Not much going on here just the usual trip into town on the Saturday and a quick pop to TKMaxx on Sunday. There is no Sunday roast for a whole month now as my Gramps and Nan are away, I am still coming to grips with this news LOL. Today's blog post will be the swatch and review for Septembers Meebox, the theme for last month's box was pumpkin spice. So let's jump in!

In Septembers box we received three polishes and two little extras from the lovely people at Bundle Monster, now I will be honest I have never eaten anything with pumpkin in so I have no idea how it tastes. But the polishes we received in the box were great little staples for Autumn/Fall, and surprisingly I couldn't pick a favorite.

The first polish I noticed was this beautiful orange creme from Crabtree & Evelyn, I only own one other polish from this brand so was excited to have another one for my collection. This beauty is called Clementine and is has more red tones in it than a true pumpkin orange, it has a gorgeous orange shimmer which is really difficult to capture on camera. It took two easy to apply coats to become fully opaque. You can get this polish from the Crabtree & Evelyn website for £6.00.

The second polish in the box is from Lauren B Beauty, this is also my second polish from this brand. It is called Nude No 1, I don't know if I would consider this a nude creme polish as there are a few drops of yellow in there it reminds me a bit of butter cream. The formula was quite sheer so it did take 3 coats to be fully opaque, it has quite a thin brush so I did have some issues with streaking too but that may have been user error. You can pick this polish up from the Lauren B Beauty website for $18 (£13.93).

The last polish in the Pumpkin Spice box is Venus Desire from Leighton Denny, this has a gorgeous brown jelly base and lots of bronze and gold shimmer. The shimmer translates beautifully to the nail and it is fully opaque in 2 coats. I am not normally a fan of browns but this one won me over with the effect of that stunning shimmer, definitely a great Autumn/Fall shade. You can pick Venus Desire up from Nail Polish Direct for £12.

We were also lucky enough to receive two great items from Bundle Monster, the thing I was most excited about was their Monocle XL stamper and scraper. I have been playing with this ever since receiving the box, it is so easy to use and picked up straight out of the packet. I love that it is so short as you don't get any tunnel vision when you are applying the stamp to your nail. This might even be my new go to stamper. This stamper costs $11.75 (£9.09) from the Bundle Monster website.

The other pressie that was slipped in from Bundle Monster is plate BM-S207, I actually do already own this plate. It has lots of images and wording that are great for an Autumn/Fall mani. I did have problems picking up from this plate, it doesn't appear to be etched very well my other plate picks up just fine so I think it may have just been a bad batch. This plate is $2.49 (£1.93) on the Bundle Monster website.

Overall I am really pleased with the Pumpkin Spice box, there were some great colours to wear for this time of year. Plus the extra bonus treat of the two Bundle Monster items was a lovely surprise. I have heard that the Crabtree & Evelyn and Leighton Denny do stamp which is an added bonus. I won't have any nail art this month as I wanted to get straight onto my Halloween mani's. But my good friend Becca over at A Certain Becca Nails has a gorgeous design that will be showing up on her blog shortly.

For those of you who don't know, Meebox is a monthly nail subscription box where you receive three different polishes and other nail related items to match that particular month's theme. It is £20 per box or you can sign up for 6 or 12 months and get your box at a discounted price. I will leave all of Meebox's social media links and their website below.

I would love to know what your thoughts are on the Pumpkin Spice box, let me know in the comments below. Now that we are officially in August be prepared to see lots of Halloween nail art from me, also a few pink mani's as it is Pinktober.

As always have a fabulous nail day and I will chat to all you wonderful people again soon.
