Trick Or Treat Mani Using Pretty Serious Pet Names

Hello, my lovely readers, I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Unfortunately, mine was spent with a poorly Lexi, on the plus side there was Sunday roast dinner at my nan's for the first time in over a month. So I can truly say I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. We are now at the end of October which means no more Halloween mani's. I am really sad about this because I had so many more ideas, I guess they will all have to wait for next year. As today is Halloween I thought I would do a Trick Or Treat mani, I was inspired by one of the Seasonal Bundle Monster plates I picked up last year. So let's take a closer look!

As I am loving doing gradients right now I thought I would do a sunset gradient as my background for my little trick or treaters. I used three gorgeous Pretty Serious polishes for the gradient, each one is from their Pet Names collection.

To start this look I painted on 2 coats of Pumpkin Head this is a gorgeous orange crelly, I then placed Pumpkin Head, Sugar Cakes and Snugglebutt onto a latex free make-up sponge. I then dabbed this onto the nails, it took about 3 coats to get it to where I was happy. Snugglebutt which is a deep purple crelly didn't gradient as well as I had hoped, looking back it might have been better if I had done a white base instead of Pumpkin Head.

I then added HK Girl to all of my nails and allowed for my gradient to dry, whilst that was drying I stamped the Witch, Ghost and Frankenstein onto my new Twinkled T Glamour mat. I will have a full review of this coming up soon. I then used different Born Pretty stamping polishes to colour in my little characters. I top coated them with some Moyra top coat and left them to dry.

Here is the gorgeous plate that inspired this mani, before adding my little trick or treat decals I stamped the tree at the top and the words trick or treat to my pointer nail. I then added a tiny bit of top coat to each nail so my decals would stick, once they were on I added some bats and stars just to finish the look off.

There we have it my final Halloween mani for 2016, I do have a few more mani's over on my Instagram that haven't been featured on the blog. I will probably do a Halloween round-up post on Instagram too so please feel free to check that out. Overall I am really happy with the amount of nail art looks I managed to get done this month. Now to wait until I can start Christmas mani's, this time of year is so much fun for me nail art wise.

As always have a fantastic nail day and I will chat to all you wonderful people again soon.

Happy Halloween!

  9. I really like your gradient. I know I've found myself gravitating to gradients lately as well. Perhaps on account of soo many untried polishes that I have, lol.
