26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge- Black Base

Hello, my lovely readers, I hope you have all had a nice week and are looking forward to a relaxing fun filled weekend. Tomorrow is Lexi's second Birthday, it's hard to believe she is turning 2 already. Feels like yesterday she was born, I still remember being in the hospital and having no idea what I was doing but doing it anyway. My weekend is full of baking, cooking and buying plenty of balloons, as long as my baby girl likes it I don't mind.Today's post is another prompt for the Crumpet's Nail Tarts 26 Great Nail Art Idea's Challenge. This time the prompt was to use a black base, so let's take a look at what I put together.

As you can see I am already feeling the winter spirit and highly anticipating Christmas, so I went for a winter forest theme for this manicure. This is all inspired around Born Pretty plate BP01, I had actually seen this design on the site and have wanted to try it for quite some time.

For my black base I decided to use a gorgeous black linear holographic from Nine Zero Lacquer. This is my first time using the Nine Zero brand made by JessFace90. I was definitely highly impressed, the formula was like butter and it only needed one coat to be fully opaque, this does dry down matte so you will need a good layer of top coat. I can't wait to try some more of these that I have sitting on my to be swatched shelves.

The plate that inspired this manicure is Born Pretty BP01, a fantastic Christmas plate. There are so many looks you could put together just by using this one plate. It is one of their round plates so the images are a bit small so I am not sure the full-length designs would work on longer nails. I decided to stamp the Christmas trees in the snow and a pretty design with two deers. I stamped these using Mundo De Unas White and the Big Bling stamper from Clear Jelly Stamper.

I am quite happy with how the design turned out; if I were to do it again I might have used a small dotting tool to add some snow drops to the nails too. I am thoroughly impressed with the formula of Cricket and look forward to trying some more Nine Zero polishes. Unfortunately I have recently had a nail break (car doors are my nails worst enemy), so as you can probably tell my nails are a bit shorter. I think I might keep them closer to this length as I have less chance of poking Lexi in the eye this way, and maybe the car doors will be kinder to me.

Can't wait to see what everyone else has come up with for this week's prompt, I love how this challenge helps us try new things and think outside the box. Everyone else's contributions will be linked in the In-Linkz down below, make sure you go check out everyone else's beautiful black base mani's.

Now wish me luck I am off to plan out and shop for a two-year-old tea party (LOL) Have a fabulous nail day you amazing people, and I will chat to you all again really soon.
