Pretty Serious Absensce and Pumpkin Head- Swatch & Review

Hello, my lovely readers, I hope you have all had a nice relaxing weekend. Over here in the UK Saturday was Bonfire night, a holiday where we celebrate a man failing to blow up the Houses of Parliment. We do this by having bonfires and fireworks. whilst being wrapped up with our gloves and scarves. There is normally a hot dog or burger thrown in the mix too. Because Lexi is only just coming up to two and I hate the cold we stayed home in the warm and watched from the window. So for today's post I have two Pretty Serious polishes to show you, so let's take a look!

I recently used these beautiful polishes as a base for nail art looks, head over to my Instagram to see my Fireworks manicure where I used Absence as my base. I have tried quite a few Pretty Serious polishes and I must say each one has impressed me with how easy they are to apply.

Absence is Pretty Serious's version of a plain black creme, this is super easy to apply the formula goes on like butter. The major aspect that makes this polish stand out to me is that it is a one coater black. Just one thick coat and you are ready to rock some gorgeous simple black nails or apply whatever nail art you have in mind. This also stamps really well, which is always a huge plus when it comes to any creme polish.

The second polish is from the Pet Names collection and was the perfect base for one of my Halloween manicures. This beautiful polish is called Pumpkin Head, it is more of a crelly formula than a creme. It took 3 coats to reach full opacity but I loved the squishy look it gave on the nail. This also dried extremely quickly with a glossy finish.

So far I must say I am really impressed by Pretty Serious, they have so many gorgeous polishes to choose from and they are all 3 free, cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. Every bottle comes with 11ml of product and the price from the UK seller is £7.00 per bottle. The UK stockist for Pretty Serious is Rainbow Connection. I will leave links for the Pretty Serious website as well as their social media down below. I will also link Rainbow Connection for all you UK girls out there.

I would love to know your thoughts on the Pretty Serious brand, have you tried them? If so which polishes would you recommend? Let me know in the comments section below.

As always have a fantastic nail day and I will chat to all you wonderful people again soon.

  9. Great swatches! I'm American but I've got English friends, and I love the way they all describe Bonfire Day. "Your November holiday is about gratitude, ours is about a guy who tried to blow up Parliament."
