Twinkled T Glamour Mat Review
Hello, my lovely readers, I hope you have all had a lovely week. We had Lexi's two-year assessment yesterday and I am very pleased and proud to say she passed with flying colours. Every day I am more and more amazed at how much she is learning and changing. So for today's post I have a quick review of the Twinkled T Glamour Mat, I managed to pick one of these up when Alex from Nail Artisan did a group buy for some of us UK ladies. I have owned quite a few of the nail art mat's that are on the market, and I truly believe this is one of the best ones I have come across. So let's jump into the review!
The Twinkled T Glamour Mat takes the nail art mat to the next level, there are loads of unique extra features to this mat. When it comes to specification the mat itself is 12" wide and 16" long, the thickness of the mat is 0.1". So it is on the thicker side of the mats I have tried in the past but I actually prefer that. It is also non-slip so you don't have issues of it slipping and sliding all around your nail desk.
One of the main things I used my nail art mat for is to create advanced stamping decals, this is when you stamp the image onto your mat and then use various colours or either polish or acrylic paint to fill it in. The Glamour mat has many areas where you can do this, but it is awfully handy to have nail shaped areas to create these so you gauge how small or large they will be on your nails. The mat has 20 fingernails to use 10 in white and 10 in black. The huge positive about this mat is there is no need to lay down a base of top coat, you can stamp directly to the mat and it will stick.
Another fantastic asset to the glamour mat is that in the top left-hand corner you have a small paint palette where you can place the polish or acrylic paint you are using to fill on your decals. No need to have an extra palette lying around, so one less item needed in your nail art box. This section has 13 indents, so you can definitely have a good array of colours ready to paint in those decals. You can also use this section to hold some of the more fiddly nail art gems, so they don't go rolling onto the floor whilst you're finishing your mani.
On both the left-hand and the right-hand side you have these rectangles in black and white and different colours, these are designed to be the exact same size as the Twinkled T nail vinyls. I love that they not only included the black and white versions but also the different array of colours. You can test what different coloured stamping polishes look like over different coloured bases. These will definitely get a lot of use from me, as I must prefer using my nail vinyls on my mat rather than directly to the nail.
By far the main feature that takes this mat to the next level is the little collapsible cup up in the right-hand corner. When collapsed it can be used to store acetone for clean up or even some large or small nail charms so they are close at hand when you need them. But the place this cup really shines is when you pop it up, you can then plate water inside and use it for both water marbling or the water you dip your water decals into before placing them on your nail.
Overall I can not praise this mat enough, it has all the features any nail artist would be looking for and makes the job that much simpler. So if you are in the market for a nail art mat I would definitely recommend this one. This is available from the Twinkled T website for $21.99, I purchased mine in the group buy that the lovely Alex held for us. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact price it was at the time, but it was worth every penny.
I will leave all of the Twinkled T links down below, as well as their social media. I will also include the link to Nail Artisan for you. It is an amazing site full of lots of nail art and polish goodies, always fast shipping and fantastic customer service.
I hope you have found this review helpful and informative, I would love to know your thoughts on the Glamour Mat? As always have a fabulous nail day and I will chat to all you wonderful people again soon.
