Kiki London: Festive Foils

Hello my lovely fairies; I hope everyone is keeping well and feeling prepared for the the festive season. I have loaddddss of fun and festive goodies to share with you over the next few weeks both on here and on my Instagram page. Today we are looking at a new release from Kiki London, they recently released a nail foil range and have plenty of designs to keep us merry and bright over the next month. Read on to find out more...

I was very excited to try this new range of nail art items from Kiki London so of course said yes please when they sent these out. I do love me a good Christmas nail art design and these foils definitely deliver that and so much more. Each foil comes in a box of 10 different designs and they have released 6 boxes for the festive foil range so that is 60 different designs to have a fun time with at this time of year. Each foil measures 1mx4cm so you got lots to play with and create that design over and over. There are a mixture of full coverage nail foils and singular designs so you can let that gel base pop through.

Winter Mix

The first box is the winter mix, there are so many pretty designs here all on a clear backing so you can choose which base colour you want under your design and be inventive each time you use these foils. 

I chose to use the cute little snowmen foil paired with Kiki London Galaxy a beautiful glitter filled gel with lots of sparkle. 

Clear Christmas Fun Mix

The next box has lots of fun patterned images that will create some pretty designs with a mix of geometric print Christmas trees and white snowflakes there is definitely something for everyone in this set. 

For my next design I went with a pretty sky blue base using Kiki London Sea Blue and some icy tips for my pointer and middle nail using Frozen Blue from their Platinum range. I then chose to use the unique geometric tree images on my other two nails. 

Black & Silver Mix

The next box is full of some lovely holographic goodness both on a black and clear foil, this will create some gorgeous dazzling nails for those black tie events. 

I couldn't resist using those gorgeous holographic snowflakes on the black base I first used a base of Kiki London Black Heart and then popped the foil over that. 

Festive Gold Mix

If you love a touch of gold on your nails then this is the box for you lots of fun Christmas designs in a gold foiling and for some reason a white snowflake design too because you can't go wrong with a classic. 

This design I went for a blue and gold vibe using one of the designs from the box and Navy Baby from there recent Fall collection. I then mattified the nails using there no wipe matte top coat.

Christmas Wrapping Mix

The next box is full of full coverage nail foils in a variety of colours, basically looks like a box of fun wrapping paper. 

I love bringing the pink out at Christmas so I paired the cute Santa and reindeer pink foil paired with Modern Barbie from the Platinum range. 

Holographic Pattern Mix

The final box I wouldn't really associate with Christmas it has two different design images in a holographic foil one being fish scales and the other a fun geometric print. These can be used at any time of year to give you that hint of holo on your nails. 

I just had to use those fish scales for a mermaid mani, and I was dying to use an image from the new Moyou London Care Bears collection (review coming soon). 

All of these foils were applied using the Kiki London foil gel this makes applying those foils a lot easier. Just apply two coats of your base colour then a thin layer of the foil gel, cure for 30 seconds LED lamp or 1 minute in a UV lamp. Then immediately apply your chosen foil to your nail and rub in using either your thumb or a silicon tool which can be purchased from Kiki London. Once the foil has full adhered to the nail peel back gently and WooHoo you have your design. I won't lie this take some practice and I would suggest rubbing that foil in as much as possible to make sure it sticks, but once you have the hang of it your all good. 

I really enjoyed trying the Kiki London foils they were really fun to create some festive mani's and will definitely be a great way to create a design without the hassle of free hand or stamping.
